Streets and the trip to Sancaktepe

Postane has 58 km of mapped local streets and 16.4 km of through roads. Of local streets, 3 % are narrow and 3 % one-way; average gradient is 2.9 % and 13 % count as steep. Narrow lanes and slopes may not be the main obstacle at most addresses (inference).

The map shows 35 parking areas, which we do not treat as loading or waiting spots. Floor counts exist for only 2 % of the 2,797 buildings, so we draw no height conclusion. Our depot is in Sancaktepe; both districts sit on the Anatolian side, with no Bosphorus crossing. The Tuzla car estimate (OSRM / OpenStreetMap, September 2026) is roughly 20–25 km and 20–25 minutes without traffic. Postane was not timed separately; a loaded vehicle can take longer, and we promise no travel time.

  The municipality's public institutions page lists the district education directorate at Postane, Mühendis Sk. No:19; the matching OpenStreetMap building lies inside the boundary (our calculation). Giving street and institution name together may clarify the spot (inference).

• 8 Nolu ASM on İstasyon Caddesi

  The municipal health list gives 'Postane Mh. İstasyon Cd.' with no door number or exact position; the street name may serve only as a direction marker (inference).

• İBB library on Kozan Sokağı

  The İBB Necati Cumalı Library appears only in community OpenStreetMap tags at Postane Mahallesi, Kozan Sokağı, inside the boundary (our calculation). Its current status is unconfirmed on an official page, so it is at most a possible marker around Kozan Sokağı (inference).

• İBB-tagged production structures in the north

  Only in community OpenStreetMap tags do structures named for pipes, paving stones, kerbs and concrete plants appear with İBB as operator in the north, inside the boundary (our calculation). Their current use is undocumented officially, so we note them only as a northern map record (inference).
