Ömerli storage
Ömerli covers 47.2 km² of Çekmeköy, yet the map holds only 1,038 buildings, so it reads as a scattered, village-style settlement. Below: how loading is likely to go, what sources say about the area, and which room suits which home.

Loading in a scattered layout, and the trip to the depot
The map records 40.9 km of local streets and 12.2 km of through roads, and none of the local streets count as one-way or narrow. Mean gradient is 4.9 %, with 30 % of streets classed as steep. Spread across 47.2 km², the 1,038 buildings suggest mostly detached homes (inference); no floor data is mapped. Street width is unlikely to hold a truck up. The open question is whether the private lane to your gate suits a heavy vehicle, which no dataset shows.
The map shows 15 parking areas totalling 32,854 m²; who may use them is not documented. The depot is in Sancaktepe, so no Bosphorus crossing is involved. Across Çekmeköy our distance range is 5–21 km. We did not measure Ömerli separately and, as the area is large, it may sit toward the longer end (inference). Real time depends on address and load; we promise no duration.
Sourced notes about the neighbourhood
Former district seat with a village past
The Çekmeköy District Governorate history page says Ömerli was the centre of the Mahmutşevketpaşa sub-district in the 1960 census, with 1,366 residents, and that its municipality was dissolved when the district was created. It also names the Ömerli basin as one of Istanbul's seven important plant areas. Expect village lanes rather than a planned estate grid (inference).
Three zoning plans carry the neighbourhood's name
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Çekmeköy plan-note amendment page lists the Ömerli West Zone, Ömerli Centre and Koçullu Village, and Ömerli East Zone master plans among those amended, so the neighbourhood seems split across several plan zones. We could not read the amendment itself; if you plan to renovate, ask the municipality which plan covers your street.
Announcement on a new implementation plan for the centre and Koçullu
On 16 September 2026 Çekmeköy Municipality posted an announcement titled "Ömerli Mahallesi Merkez ve Koçullu Köyü Uygulama İmar Planı". We did not read the attachment, so its content is unknown. If a planning process is under way, a building whose handover slips may leave belongings in a room for longer (inference).
Mosques and parks help with directions
The municipality's Ömerli page lists Ömerli Aktaş Mosque and Ömerli Yeni Mosque, plus Akasya, Cumhuriyet Parkı 1, Leylak and Orman Gülü parks. On lanes with sparse signage, one of these names eases directions (inference). The page gives no street address, so agreeing on the meeting point beforehand by phone is practical.
Which room for which home
1.8 m³ for a 1+0
With no floor data mapped, we cannot say one-room homes are common here. For a short spell away, a bed, a few boxes and a small wardrobe usually fit.
2.15 and 22 m³ for a 1+1 or 2+1
Indoor contents of a detached house plus garden or outbuilding items usually need the next size up. Your list sets the volume; we measure it at the free survey to pick the right room.
3.28 m³ for a 3+1
Considered when a large home's full contents must wait through a sale or renovation; your item list shows what will fit.
4.Preparation and the visit
Put textiles and timber into dry boxes and take large pieces apart. If the way to your door is unpaved or narrow, bring a photo of the entrance and we will mark where the vehicle can pull in.

Frequently asked in Ömerli
Can a vehicle reach my address inside the village?
No local street on the map is marked one-way or narrow, but surface and gate width are not in the data. At the free survey we check where the vehicle can pull in and how loading will work at your address.
How far is the depot?
Across Çekmeköy our September 2026 OSRM / OpenStreetMap range is 5–21 km and 5–25 minutes without traffic. We have no separate Ömerli measurement; as the neighbourhood is wide, distance varies by address and we promise no duration.
Where do I find out my zoning status?
The municipality's neighbourhood page links to a zoning-status query; check your parcel there or at the municipal office. Explaining planning decisions is not our job; we move and store your belongings.
Do you collect items from the garden or an outbuilding?
Pickup is from your own door in Istanbul, and Ömerli is no exception. Add garden sets or outbuilding items to your list; we settle the total volume together at the free survey.
