Peninsula streets and the trip to the depot

The map records 16.4 km of local streets and 3.9 km of through roads. 85 % of local street length is one-way, and 86 % is one-way, under 5.5 metres wide or single-lane, so the entry direction is often fixed (our inference). The mean grade is 6.4 %.

The map shows 35 parking areas, fill rate unknown. Floor data exists for only 17 % of the 2,065 buildings; lifts and entrance widths are not mapped, so the stopping spot can be checked at the free survey.

Our Sancaktepe depot is on the same side of the Bosphorus, with no crossing. Our September 2026 OSRM / OpenStreetMap calculation gives 16–23 km and 15–20 minutes without traffic for Kadıköy, measured to Bostancı, Göztepe and Ayrılık Çeşmesi. We did not measure Caferağa itself and promise no travel time.

Known places in the neighbourhood

  • T3 tram track renewal

    According to a 17 October 2026 Gazete Kadıköy article, İBB was set to renew about 570 metres of T3 track between the Kilise and Moda İlkokulu stops from 19 October 2026, with İETT electric vehicles replacing the tram via Moda Caddesi. The same article states that the line is meant to reopen in the first months of the new year and that drivers are asked not to park on the route. Near it, a waiting spot off the route should ease loading (our inference).

  • A peninsula with sea on three sides

    According to Wikipedia, Caferağa lies on Moda Point, with the Sea of Marmara to the south, north and west and Osmanağa Mahallesi to the east. We infer that the approach by land is from the east.

  • Metro, tram stops and taxi stand

    Matching İBB open data against the boundary (our calculation) puts M4 Kadıköy station, the T3 stops around Moda and the Kadıköy Metro Taksi stand inside Caferağa. They serve as known landmarks for directions; as of the 17 October 2026 article, some tram stops may be out of service during the works.
