Narrow streets, one-way flow, the trip

The map holds 9.3 km of local streets and 4.1 km of through roads. 84 % of local street length is one-way, narrower than 5.5 metres or single-lane, and 80 % is one-way. The mean grade is 5.9 %, with 35 % steep. So the entry direction at a door mostly follows the street's one-way direction (our inference).

The map shows 17 parking areas covering 12,731 m². Only 4 % of the 1,500 buildings carry floor data, so we draw no height or lift conclusions; ask the building management about freight lifts and door width.

The Sancaktepe depot is on the same side of the Bosphorus. Our September 2026 OSRM / OpenStreetMap car calculation gives about 16–23 km and 15–20 minutes without traffic for Kadıköy (Bostancı, Göztepe, Ayrılık Çeşmesi). In our boundary test (our calculation) none of those points lies here, so we promise no travel time.

Places known in the neighbourhood

• Haydarpaşa station and its surroundings

  In OpenStreetMap the station building has a Rasimpaşa Mahallesi address; with the PTT branch and the Haydarpaşa Protokol Mosque it lies inside the neighbourhood in our polygon test (our calculation). This group by the shore is a direction landmark only, not a loading or waiting spot.

• Planned changes in the station area

  The 1 November 2024 BBC News Türkçe report says the station area went to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for 29 years under an August 2024 protocol, with works aimed to finish by 2026. Current progress is not in our sources, so for a pickup near the station check access beforehand (our inference).

• Haydarpaşa taxi stand

  In the İBB open-data taxi stand record (dated 5 June 2025) the Haydarpaşa taxi stand falls inside the boundary (our calculation). A named point for directions, but reserved for taxis, so not a loading or waiting spot.

• Multi-storey car park on the Söğütlüçeşme side

  OpenStreetMap lists Parktürk Söğütlüçeşme Kadıköy as a multi-storey, paid, supervised car park, and our polygon test (our calculation) places it at the eastern end. It is not a loading or truck waiting spot, only a direction marker when approaching from the east.
