Barbaros is a 2.9 km² neighbourhood on the western side of Ataşehir, and the drive to our depot stays on the Asian side with no Bosphorus crossing. This page reads the market days, the arena's event crowds and the street data from a loading point of view.

Loading in Barbaros: streets and the way to the depot

The map data holds 29.5 km of local streets and 19.3 km of through roads in the neighbourhood. Of the local streets 9 % are narrow and 9 % are one-way; the mean grade is 5.4 % and 37 % of streets count as steep. We infer that a truck can often wait on a main road while a few inner-street addresses need cartons carried a short way by hand; since every building differs, we mark the standing spot in advance.

The map shows 29 parking areas covering 67,632 m², or 9.9 per square kilometre. There are 1,952 buildings, but floor counts are entered for only 7 % of them, and those average 10.6 floors. Tall blocks may be common; we hold no lift dimensions, so ask the management about goods-lift rules and booking.

The depot is in Sancaktepe. For the district as a whole our OSRM / OpenStreetMap estimate from September 2026 is roughly 11–16 km and 10–15 minutes without traffic; we did not measure Barbaros separately and promise no duration. Goods are collected from your door within İstanbul and, if you wish, delivered back to it.

  • Batı Ataşehir street market

    The municipality's list of market sites places the Batı Ataşehir Halk Pazarı in Barbaros, on Atatürk Avenue, running on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Traffic around the avenue may rise on those days (our inference); loading between Tuesday and Friday often eases where to stand.

  • Fenerbahçe Ülker Sports and Events Arena

    OpenStreetMap records the arena in Barbaros, on Ihlamur Boulevard. According to Wikipedia (a secondary source), basketball capacity is 13,500. Roads may fill on event evenings; we found no official traffic plan, so this is an inference. Avoid event dates.

  • Muhtar's office address

    The municipality's page on neighbourhood offices lists Barbaros at Mor Sümbül Sokak No:6/1, a fixed reference for describing where a vehicle should wait. Check it is current before you visit.

Which room suits Barbaros homes

  1. 1.8 m³ for a 1+0

    A fit for a short break or for parking a few pieces from a small flat: a bed, a few cartons, a small wardrobe.

  2. 2.15 and 22 m³ for a 1+1 and 2+1

    An average of 10.6 floors in buildings with floor data hints that apartment blocks may be common here. We have no other housing-type data; the amount of furniture decides, and we measure at the visit.

Frequently asked in Barbaros

Can a move go ahead on market days?

It can, but with the market on Atatürk Avenue running Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, vehicle space nearby may be scarcer (our inference). Tuesday to Friday is usually easier; we decide after seeing your address.

Do arena events affect my loading day?

We found no official traffic plan. The arena sits on Ihlamur Boulevard and, according to Wikipedia, holds a large crowd, so nearby roads may fill on event evenings (our inference). Avoiding event dates is enough.

Do I cross the Bosphorus to reach the depot from Barbaros?

No. Barbaros is on the Asian side and so is the depot in Sancaktepe. Our trip estimate covers the district as a whole; Barbaros was not measured separately.

What should I arrange before leaving a tall building?

Ask the management about goods-lift rules and your slot, and tell the entrance desk if a log is kept. The map has height data for only 7 % of buildings, so we confirm the lift size on site at the survey.
