Through roads, parking areas and the trip to the depot

The map records 33.2 km of local streets and 21.3 km of through roads, the second-longest through-road figure in the district after İçerenköy. Only 5 % of local streets are one-way or narrow, 34 % count as steep, and the mean gradient is 5.4 %. Narrowness is not the main obstacle; the real job is leaving the fast road and finding a place for the truck.

The map shows 29 parking areas covering 56,081 m²; whether any are free is unknown. Only 3 % of the 1,545 buildings have a floor count entered, averaging 8.8 storeys, too small a sample to call the blocks tall. There is no lift data, so we ask about lifts and truck access once we have your address.

Our depot is in Sancaktepe, in Abdurrahmangazi neighbourhood. Ataşehir is on the Asian side, so there is no Bosphorus crossing; our September 2026 OSRM / OpenStreetMap district-wide measurement is roughly 11–16 km and 10–15 minutes without traffic, we have not timed this neighbourhood separately, and we promise no travel time. Belongings are collected from your door anywhere in Istanbul and taken to the depot.

  • Government building on Merdivenköy Road

    The District Governor's contact page gives the address as Küçükbakkalköy Mahallesi, Merdivenköy Yolu Caddesi No:9/3, and lists the Consumer Arbitration Board and the Social Assistance Foundation on the ground floor. A handy landmark for a driver; traffic nearby may be heavy by day (our inference).

  • Wednesday and Sunday market

    The municipality's market list shows Küçükbakkalköy Market on Prof. Dr. Hıfzı Özcan Street, on Wednesdays and Sundays. The page states no hours or road-closure rule. If you live near that street, loading on another day may be easier (our inference).

  • M8 Küçükbakkalköy station

    According to the Turkish Wikipedia station article, the M8 station opened on 6 January 2023, is underground at 31 m depth on Kayışdağı Street, has two entrances (Küçükbakkalköy Mahallesi and Üniversite) and no car park. Belongings do not travel by metro, and relatives driving over to help may need street parking (our inference).
