İçerenköy storage

Sloping streets, parking areas and the road to the depot

The map covers 3.6 km² of İçerenköy with 51.9 km of local streets and 27.9 km of through roads, and counts 4,291 buildings. With 9 % of local streets one-way and another 9 % narrow, a truck can reach most addresses without meeting oncoming traffic (our inference). The real challenge is the slope: the mean grade is 5.8 % and 35 % of streets count as steep.

The map shows 34 parking areas with 123,378 m² of parking in total; we do not know how full they are, so we agree on the truck's stopping spot with you beforehand. Floor data exists for only 2 % of buildings and there is nothing on lifts, so ask your building management.

Our depot is in Sancaktepe on the same side of the Bosphorus, with no crossing. Our OSRM / OpenStreetMap calculation from September 2026 gives 11–16 km and 10–15 minutes without traffic for Ataşehir as a whole; we did not measure İçerenköy separately and promise no travel time.

Known places in the neighbourhood

  • Tuesday street market

    According to the municipality's list of market sites, the İçerenköy Halk Pazarı is held on Tuesdays on Hakkı Erdoğan Sokak. Traffic around it may rise on market day (our inference); for a pickup nearby, a day other than Tuesday eases loading.

  • The hospital on the E-5

    According to Wikipedia, the PTT Hospital, officially Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital, is in the İçerenköy area on the E-5 next to the Bostancı bridge. It is a known reference when giving directions to the crew or a neighbour at your new address; since waiting on the E-5 itself may be hard, loading from an inner street is more sensible (our inference).

  • Article 18 plots and public display

    In its August 2025 announcement the municipality said the allotment plans for zones 2, 17, 18, 20 and 21 in İçerenköy had finished their preliminary display, and zone 8 went on display on 5 August for a run until 15 August. We do not know the later stages. If your plot is covered, a locked room is one option until your moving date is settled.

  • High residential density

    According to Wikipedia's 2024 address-based population record, 70,199 people live here; over 3.6 km², that is about 19,500 per km² (our own calculation). Kerbside parking may therefore be tight (our inference).

  1. 1.8 m³ for a 1+0

    Leaving a one-person home or a student flat, a bed, boxes and a small wardrobe usually fit.

  2. 2.15 and 22 m³ for a 1+1 and a 2+1

    There are 4,291 buildings here but the flat count is unknown; your inventory decides. For a 2+1 left empty during redevelopment, 22 m³ is the size most people consider.

  3. 3.28 m³ for a 3+1

Can I load in İçerenköy on market day?

The market is held on Tuesdays on Hakkı Erdoğan Sokak; if you are loading on or near that street, another day is easier. We found no published information on which streets are closed.

Is the İçerenköy metro station inside the neighbourhood?

The M8 line has a station called İçerenköy, but Wikipedia places it in Küçükbakkalköy Mahallesi, on Kayışdağı Caddesi, so name and address may differ. Check metro.istanbul for current details; we did not measure walking distance.
