History, population and local landmarks
A late village founded by refugees
Per the Çekmeköy District Governorate history page, Reşadiye was founded long after other local villages: Hopa and Batum refugees settled on Hazine-i Hassa farms near Alemdağ after the 1877–1878 war, first called Laz Köyü, and officially named Reşadiye by decree on 30 December 1911.
