Streets, parking and loading

According to map data Eyüp Sultan covers 6.2 km², with 31.5 km of local streets and 22.4 km of through roads. That share of through roads may help a truck reach the neighbourhood from the main routes (our inference). 13 % of local streets are one-way or narrow, against 3 % in our depot's neighbourhood. The mean grade is 3.5 % and 16 % of streets count as steep, so on loading day where the truck can stand matters more than the slope.

The map shows 10 parking areas totalling 36,648 m², or 1.6 per square kilometre: few, and thinly spread. Some may belong to parks or residential complexes (our inference), so not every street offers a free gap for a truck. There are 1,234 buildings, but floor counts are recorded for only 1 % of them, so we have no lift or height data.

The depot is in the same district, on the Anatolian side, so the trip involves no Bosphorus crossing. Across Sancaktepe, the car-profile estimate puts addresses at roughly 1–15 km and 0–30 minutes without traffic; actual duration depends on your street and the hour, and we promise none. We pick the stopping place with you beforehand, taking into account the street width and neighbour vehicles pulling out.

Two notes from official sources

  • Sancaktepe Orman Parkı

The District Governorate page says a 155-dönüm park has opened between the Eyüp Sultan and Fatih neighbourhoods, with a car park, walking paths, picnic areas and playgrounds. Weekend visitors may thicken traffic nearby (our inference); for a pickup close to the park, a weekday or early morning eases things.

  • Muhtar's office address and distance to our depot's neighbourhood

İBB open data lists Eyüp Sultan Neighbourhood Muhtar's Office at Esma Sk. No:5; the dataset is dated June 2025, so confirm before visiting. By the coordinates in that data, the point lies about 340 m in a straight line from the Abdurrahmangazi muhtar's office (our own calculation); the road distance may be longer. It serves as a fixed reference point when giving directions.

Choosing a room by what you own

  1. 1.1+0 and 1+1: 8 or 15 m³

A small home's bed, a few cupboards and boxes will often fit one of these. Suitable for a short in-between period.

  2. 2.2+1: 22 m³

With a living-room set, bedroom and white goods, this is usually the first room to consider. The map has 1,234 buildings but floor data covers only 1 % of them, so we cannot say which flat type dominates here; the items themselves decide the size.

  3. 3.3+1: 28 m³

For a whole home or two households merging. We confirm what fits at the free survey.

  4. 4.What to prepare for the survey

Note the size of large pieces and whether the entrance has a lift or only stairs. For a narrow street, a doorstep photo helps.

Do I cross the Bosphorus to reach the depot from Eyüp Sultan?

No, the depot is in the same district on the Anatolian side. The trip's length depends on your street and the hour; we promise no duration.

My building's floors and lift do not appear on the map. What should I do?
