What brings people to a storage room in Sultanbeyli
Sultanbeyli became a district in 1992; the municipality's series shows 82,298 residents in 1990 and 360,702 in the 2023 address-based count. The District Governorate says routing the TEM through the old village in the mid-1980s set off fast building, with sales long run without title deeds. Space at home may be tight in such a dense fabric; no figure documents that, it is our reading.
On the map no neighbourhood has storey data for more than 1 percent of its buildings, so we check lift size, stair width and complex entrances in person at the free survey.
The firmest reason for a room is renewal. The municipality's news item reports 710 units on 70,000 m² in Mimar Sinan under a Ministry protocol and 404 units in Battalgazi through its company SULKON, and claims 30 percent of the stock has been transformed against a 45 percent target (undated). Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's plan note covers all 15 neighbourhoods. No source gives handover dates, so a locked room can bridge the gap.
From Sultanbeyli to the depot, and loading
The depot is in Abdurrahmangazi, Sancaktepe; both districts are on the Anatolian side, so there is no Bosphorus crossing. Car-profile estimate, OSRM / OpenStreetMap, September 2026: 3.9 km and 6 minutes from Adil, 6.2 km and 7 minutes from the district centre, 10.1 km and 11 minutes from Akşemsettin. These are free-flow figures; a loaded vehicle and traffic change them, and we promise no time. Items are collected from your door anywhere in Istanbul.
Streets differ. One-way or narrow shares are low, highest in Mehmet Akif at 7 percent. Steep shares run from 11 percent in Adil to 45 percent in Yavuz Selim. Mapped parking areas number 12 each in Adil and Mehmet Akif and none in Hasanpaşa, Mecidiye or Orhangazi. Residents also describe speed bumps and physical barriers at one-way entrances, in several threads but not as official data. The municipality reports asphalt work in all 15 neighbourhoods, so a closed street in summer is possible; that is our inference.
From Adil to Mecidiye: slope and street notes in Sultanbeyli
Computed from OpenStreetMap and the Copernicus elevation model, so approximate. We chose six neighbourhoods whose numbers differ.
Adil Mahallesi
The flattest neighbourhood: mean grade 2.7 percent, 11 percent of streets steep, 12 parking areas along 37 km of local streets. 3.9 km from the depot. Residents describe gated complexes; ask about the freight lift.
Mimar Sinan Mahallesi
56.3 km of local streets, the second longest network; no one-way or narrow streets, 21 percent steep, 3 parking areas. The municipality's renewal site is here, so room needs may come up more often.
Battalgazi Mahallesi
3.7 km², 60.6 km of local streets and 3,066 buildings make it the largest network; 43 percent of streets are steep, one parking area is mapped. The SULKON renewal site is here too.
Mehmet Akif Mahallesi
One-way or narrow share of 7 percent, the highest; 12 parking areas, 2,496 buildings. M5's Sultanbeyli station is here. 35 percent of streets are steep.
Mecidiye Mahallesi
Mean grade of 6.7 percent makes it the hilliest, 44 percent of streets steep. No mapped parking, no one-way streets. We measure the carry and the stopping point at the survey.
Hasanpaşa Mahallesi
At 0.9 km² the smallest neighbourhood: 18.6 km of local streets, 3 percent one-way or narrow, 37 percent steep, no mapped parking. M5's Hasanpaşa station is here; choose the stopping spot beforehand.

Moving tips from Mimar Sinan to Hasanpaşa
1.Size the room up for a renewal move-out
Rooms are 8 m³ for a 1+0, 15 m³ for a 1+1, 22 m³ for a 2+1 and 28 m³ for a 3+1. A whole flat from Mimar Sinan or Battalgazi usually fits the room of the same name; bulky items can shift that, and we measure at the survey.
2.Ask for the survey before the handover date is fixed
A new flat's key can be late. The survey is free, so room size and packing can be settled early.
3.Mark the barrier street at the survey
Entering a one-way street from the wrong end can leave no way back. Decide at your address where the vehicle turns in and stops.
4.Separate heavy pieces on the hilly belt
In Yavuz Selim, Mecidiye and Battalgazi the vehicle may not reach the door, so some boxes are carried by hand. Ask whether a fridge should go on its own run.
5.Pick the stopping spot near the metro early
Hasanpaşa has no mapped parking area; loading needs a kerb or a gap in front of the building. Warn management and neighbours in advance.

Questions about storage in Sultanbeyli
Is Abdurrahmangazi in Sultanbeyli the same neighbourhood as the depot?
Same name, different district. Our depot is in Abdurrahmangazi in Sancaktepe; Sultanbeyli has a neighbourhood with that name too. State the district when you give an address.
How far is the depot from Sultanbeyli?
By car-profile estimate, 4–10 km and 6–11 minutes without traffic. A loaded vehicle and road works can differ; we promise no time.
I am leaving a renewal site and the handover date is unclear. What now?
Ask for the free survey before the date is fixed. We settle the room size from your volume and bring the things to your new address as the handover nears.
Can you collect from a hilly neighbourhood such as Yavuz Selim or Mecidiye?
Yes, with preparation. 44–45 percent of streets there are steep; if the vehicle cannot reach the door, some boxes are carried by hand, and we plan heavy items on a separate run.
