Why people in Pendik look for storage
The District Governorate describes Pendik as 188.94 km² with 13 km of coastline and, per the 2025 population register, 752,033 residents, third in Istanbul. The airport, Technopark and shipyard are here, but we found no data on room demand from them. Where level data is well mapped, buildings average 6.5 storeys in Yenişehir and 8.1 in Harmandere, so estates and tall blocks stand out around Kurtköy; in many neighbourhoods fewer than 10 percent of buildings carry level data.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's risky-building zoning note covers 29 urban neighbourhoods, and about 783 hectares on the Kurna–Harmandere border are a reserve development area under the Ministry. We found no declared risk-area record. When a building is renewed or a flat refitted, a room is a natural place for furniture to wait.
From your Pendik address to the depot
Our depot is in Abdurrahmangazi, Sancaktepe, and Pendik is also on the Anatolian side, so there is no Bosphorus crossing. Our car-profile estimate from OSRM / OpenStreetMap (September 2026) is about 14–21 km and 15–20 minutes without traffic: Yayalar–Şeyhli 13.5 km and 17 minutes, Pendik centre 14.9 km and 20 minutes, Güzelyalı 20.5 km and 19 minutes. A loaded vehicle and traffic will differ; we promise no times.
Loading depends on the street. In Batı 56 percent of local streets are narrow or one-way, in Doğu 34 percent. In Dumlupınar 60 percent of streets are steep, in Çınardere 58 percent and in Esenyalı 55 percent, and the map shows at most one parking area in each. Kavakpınar has none mapped. Figures are approximate.
From Dumlupınar's slopes to Kavakpınar's long network
We picked six of 36 neighbourhoods whose data differs most. Street, parking and building counts come from OpenStreetMap and slope from a Copernicus surface model, so read slope as an indication.
Batı Mahallesi
Of 9.3 km of local streets, 56 percent are one-way or narrow, yet the map shows 32 parking areas. Slope is 5.2 percent, steep share 32 percent. Level data covers 7 percent of 878 buildings, averaging 5.9. The issue is where a vehicle waits.
Dumlupınar Mahallesi
At 9.9 percent mean slope it is the district's steepest; 60 percent of 25.5 km of local streets are steep. Narrow or one-way streets are 2 percent, with one parking area. The M4 Tavşantepe station is here.
Çınardere Mahallesi
Slope is 8.8 percent and 58 percent of 17.8 km of local streets are steep; narrow or one-way streets are 1 percent and no parking area is mapped. The 821 buildings average 5.7 storeys (level data on 4 percent). The concern is carrying distance.
Kavakpınar Mahallesi
The longest local street network in the district, 57.5 km; 41 percent is steep, slope 6.2 percent. No parking area is mapped. The Kavakpınar station of the M4 Tavşantepe–Tuzla extension is under construction.
Yenişehir Mahallesi
In 6.6 km² there are 1,316 buildings and 45 parking areas; level data covers 65 percent of buildings, averaging 6.5. Slope is 3.5 percent. Local streets are 66 percent one-way or narrow, which estate roads may inflate.
Kurtköy Mahallesi
With 1,507 buildings it has the district's second-largest stock; 9 percent of 31.6 km of local streets are one-way or narrow, slope 4.8 percent, steep share 28 percent. The map shows 11 parking areas. The M4 Kurtköy station is here.

From the Aydos foothills to Kurtköy: advice for Pendik
1.In Pendik, the home type sets the room size
Our rooms are 8 m³ (1+0), 15 m³ (1+1), 22 m³ (2+1) and 28 m³ (3+1). If a refit empties only a room or two, the small one usually suffices.
2.Separate heavy pieces in the Aydos foothills
In steep Dumlupınar, Çınardere and Esenyalı the vehicle may stop at the head of the street. Take wardrobes and bed frames apart beforehand and split heavy boxes into smaller ones.
3.Pick the stopping spot early on narrow streets
Batı and Doğu have many one-way streets; at the survey we agree where the truck waits. Medium, labelled boxes carry easily up narrow stairs.
4.Ask the estate office about lifts and hours
In Kurtköy, Yenişehir and Harmandere belongings often come from a high floor of an estate; ask management about the goods lift and moving hours.
5.Come and see the room
You can visit any day without an appointment.

Questions about storage in Pendik
Can you collect from a very steep neighbourhood such as Dumlupınar or Çınardere?
Yes. Mean slope in these two is 8.8–9.9 percent and 58–60 percent of streets are steep. We check how close the vehicle can get at the survey; for a long carry, heavy pieces go separately with a larger crew.
What should I prepare for a pickup from an estate in Kurtköy or Yenişehir?
Ask management about the goods lift, moving hours and entrance log, and measure whether large pieces fit the lift.
Do you collect from northern village neighbourhoods such as Göçbeyli, Ballıca or Kurna?
We collect at the door anywhere in Istanbul. Together with Emirli and Kurtdoğmuş, the Governorate counts these five rural neighbourhoods in the Ömerli basin as agricultural; each covers roughly 14.2–32.1 km² with only 65–377 mapped buildings. We have no separate distance estimate; we confirm the route at the survey.
I am emptying my home for urban renewal; must I store everything?
No. Until the move, large pieces you do not use daily, such as bedroom sets, sofas and bookcases, are often enough; we check the volume at the survey.
