Sultangazi storage

From Sultangazi, storage means a trip from very different addresses, from Sultançiftliği's narrow one-way streets to Zübeyde Hanım's slopes, across the Bosphorus to a locked room. Our rooms are in Sancaktepe; we collect and deliver at your door and choose the truck's stopping place at the free survey.

Where belongings go while Sultangazi is being rebuilt

The district authority gives Sultangazi 36 km² and 15 neighbourhoods, with the Alibey reservoir and the Cebeci quarries inside it. Our data covers 14. Mapped buildings are highest in Cebeci (4,215) and 50. Yıl (4,109), lowest in Eski Habipler (631). Level data is sparse: in no neighbourhood do more than 4 percent of buildings carry it, and Esentepe has none, so the average of 8 levels shown for 50. Yıl rests on a few buildings.

İBB's urban transformation page lists all 15 neighbourhoods among those whose 1/5000 plan was approved. In Yunus Emre there is a project for 507 units on a 36,250 m² reserve area, with a foundation date of 05.03.2024. The municipality's Urban Transformation Directorate page attaches petitions for rent and eviction support for owners and tenants; the terms are in PDFs we could not read. Families emptying a home for a while may need somewhere to keep belongings, but we found no official figure on how many. Renovation, a period abroad or downsizing can also lead to renting a room.

The road to Sancaktepe: 41–45 km beyond the Bosphorus

From 50. Yıl it is 41.2 km and 30 minutes without traffic, from the district centre 42.5 km and 33 minutes, and from Habibler 44.5 km and 34 minutes: our September 2026 OSRM / OpenStreetMap car-profile calculation puts Sultangazi roughly 41–45 km and 30–35 minutes from our depot in Abdurrahmangazi Mahallesi across the Bosphorus. A loaded truck's route can differ; we agree the vehicle and road at the survey.

The share of narrow or one-way local streets is 42 percent in Sultançiftliği and 34 percent in 50. Yıl, the district's two highest; the next, İsmetpaşa, has 12 percent. Residents write that on Eski Edirne Asfaltı the tram left fewer lanes and no parking in front of shops, so buildings on the main road may need a side-street approach. We found no published rule for moving vehicles or freight lifts on the municipality's Zabıta page; its Orders and Prohibitions Regulation is only a PDF we could not read.

Streets and slopes in six neighbourhoods, Sultançiftliği to Habibler

The District Governorate lists 15 neighbourhoods; in the OpenStreetMap boundaries Malkoçoğlu falls inside the neighbouring Başakşehir profile, leaving 14 neighbourhoods in our table here. The six notes below combine OpenStreetMap street, parking and building counts with relative grades from the Copernicus surface model.

  • Sultançiftliği Mahallesi

A small 0.607 km² with 2,106 mapped buildings. 42 percent of 18 km of local streets are narrow or one-way, the highest share of the 14; mean grade is 5.7 percent, steep share 40 percent. If the truck cannot approach, small boxes and a short carry matter.

  • 50. Yıl Mahallesi

34 percent of 28.6 km of local streets are narrow or one-way. Mean grade of 4.5 percent and steep share of 27 percent are both the lowest of the 14. In the İBB layer the T4 stops 50.Yıl and Hacı Şükrü are here. The map shows an average of 8 levels over 4,109 buildings, but few carry that data, so we ask about the lift at the survey.

  • Uğur Mumcu Mahallesi

16 parking areas are mapped over 1.431 km², 11.2 per km², the district's highest. Narrow or one-way share is 10 percent, mean grade 5.2 percent. In the İBB layer the T4 stop Yenimahalle is here. Whether the mapped car parks are open to everyone is unclear.

  • Yunus Emre Mahallesi

Mean grade over 26.4 km of local streets is 8.6 percent, the highest of the 14; steep share is 55 percent. The narrow or one-way share is only 7 percent. The issue is slope, not width: split heavy items into small boxes and bring the truck as close to the door as possible.

  • Zübeyde Hanım Mahallesi

56 percent of 40.7 km of local streets are steep, the district's highest share; mean grade is 8.4 percent. Narrow or one-way streets are 4 percent. A document title on the municipality's Zabıta page shows a Tuesday weekly market here, without place or hours.

  • Habibler Mahallesi

A large 6.202 km² with no narrow or one-way streets (0 percent), mean grade 7.5 percent and steep share 48 percent. 44.5 km and 34 minutes without traffic to the depot; residents write that access from the TEM is easy.

From the tram corridor to the hilly streets: what to prepare

  1. 1.On the tram corridor, find the truck's stopping place first

In Sultançiftliği and 50. Yıl, 34–42 percent of local streets are narrow or one-way. If the truck cannot reach your door, belongings are carried by hand; medium boxes make that easier.

  2. 2.On slopes, split weight into small boxes

In Zübeyde Hanım 56 percent of local streets are steep, in Yunus Emre 55 percent. Pack books and kitchenware in separate small boxes, take long pieces such as wardrobe carcasses apart beforehand and label boxes by room.

  3. 3.If the move-out date is uncertain, choose the room generously

Our rooms are 8 m³ (1+0), 15 m³ (1+1), 22 m³ (2+1) and 28 m³ (3+1). A small room usually does for a partly emptied home; for a whole home, take the matching room. There is no maximum term, and we confirm the size at the survey.

  4. 4.Mention market day and stair carry at the survey

A street market such as the Tuesday market in Zübeyde Hanım can close off approach streets; because almost no buildings here carry mapped level data, we check floor count, lift access and stopping point on site.

  5. 5.Set aside boxes you may need mid-term

You can visit your locked room in Sancaktepe any day without an appointment. If a rebuild or refit runs long, point out the boxes you might fetch early so we stack them nearest the door.
