Arnavutköy storage

From Arnavutköy to our depot in Sancaktepe is about 62–75 km, 55–60 minutes without traffic, across the Bosphorus. The District Governor's Office says the TEM motorway is close only to Hadımköy, so we plan the pickup at the free survey around where in the district you live.

Room for belongings in Arnavutköy: gated blocks, zoning notices

The District Governor's Office presents Arnavutköy as Istanbul's fourth-largest district; the Municipality puts the built-up area at 70 km², 13 percent of the district. Dense settlement lies in the east, with Hadımköy in the south-west and Durusu–Karaburun in the north-west. Population is 358,469 on the Governor's Office page and 312,023 on the Municipality's; neither gives a year.

The Municipality describes dense building in the centre as generally 4–6 storeys and 2–3 on the edge, with gated villa estates in Bolluca, Taşoluk, Haraççı, Durusu and Karaburun and gated mass-housing estates in Arnavutköy, Taşoluk, Hadımköy, Ömerli and Deliklikaya. İBB's risk-building plan-note amendment covers 29 neighbourhoods, and Municipality notices show parcel-level zoning displays in Arnavutköy Merkez, Boğazköy and Taşoluk–Adnan Menderes–Fatih. A locked room can be a stopgap during renovation or evacuation.

From the Habipler road to Hadımköy: the way to the depot

Because the Arnavutköy centre is on the European side, reaching our depot in Abdurrahmangazi Mahallesi means crossing the Bosphorus. A car-profile estimate from OSRM / OpenStreetMap (September 2026) gives roughly 62–75 km and 55–60 minutes without traffic; 65.5 km to the district centre. A loaded vehicle's route and time can differ, and we promise no times. Residents' posts say parking is a serious problem.

In most neighbourhoods only 0–4 percent of local streets are one-way or narrow; 14 percent in Deliklikaya, 8 percent in Merkez. The real difference is slope: neighbourhood averages run from 3.7 to 8.8 percent. We found no rule in the Municipality's service guide on a moving vehicle using the road temporarily, so ask the Zabıta in advance. Residents write of fog and ice on some stretches.

From Anadolu to Karaburun: street data for six neighbourhoods

From Deliklikaya's 14 percent narrow-street share to Yunus Emre's 8.8 percent mean grade, these six neighbourhoods show the extremes across the 38 official neighbourhoods (39 on the map, including Şamlar). Grades come from a surface model and should be read relative to one another.

  • Anadolu Mahallesi

37.1 km of local streets in 1.56 km²; 3 percent one-way or narrow, mean grade 7.5 percent, steep share 53 percent. 2 parking areas are mapped. Only 4 percent of its 23 buildings carry level data (mean 6); we ask about the lift on site.

  • Arnavutköy Merkez Mahallesi

25.1 km of local streets in 6.769 km²; 8 percent one-way or narrow, mean grade 6.7 percent, steep share 45 percent. 4 parking areas are mapped; one resident writes that parking here has become very hard. 6 percent of 282 buildings carry level data, mean 2.9.

  • Yunus Emre Mahallesi

The steepest neighbourhood on the map: mean grade 8.8 percent, steep share 62 percent. 18.7 km of local streets in 1.053 km², no narrow streets, no parking area. Only 5 buildings are mapped, with no level data.

  • Deliklikaya Mahallesi

14 percent of 47 km of local streets are one-way or narrow, the highest share in the district; mean grade 4.9 percent. No parking area is mapped. 4 percent of 28 buildings carry level data (mean 7).

  • Hadımköy Mahallesi

61.6 km of local streets and 28.4 km of through roads in 9.993 km²; 1 percent of local streets are one-way or narrow, mean grade 5.3 percent. 13 parking areas are mapped; 66 percent of 200 buildings carry level data (mean 2). The Municipality's page names TOKİ and KİPTAŞ Osmangazi; residents mention truck traffic.

  • Karaburun Mahallesi

In the north, on the Black Sea coast: 39.9 km of local streets in 7.431 km², no narrow streets, mean grade 5.4 percent, steep share 37 percent. 13 parking areas are mapped; 3 percent of 815 buildings carry level data (mean 2.7). The Municipality writes that coastal wind speed is high.

Preparation notes for the centre, Hadımköy and the villages

  1. 1.Tell us which cluster you are in

The Municipality describes the Arnavutköy–Bolluca–Taşoluk cluster and Hadımköy as separate settlement areas. Knowing which is yours helps us choose the loading point and exit road.

  2. 2.Talk to the management of a gated estate

In the estates of Hadımköy, Taşoluk and Deliklikaya, ask the management about vehicle entry and the lift, and tell us at the survey.

  3. 3.Account for the slope in Yunus Emre and Anadolu

In Yunus Emre 62 percent of streets are steep, and in Anadolu 53 percent. At the free survey we look at the street and agree how a fridge or large wardrobe will be moved.

  4. 4.Pick the room by how full the home is

Our rooms are 8 m³ for 1+0, 15 m³ for 1+1, 22 m³ for 2+1 and 28 m³ for 3+1. A flat's contents usually fit the room of the same name; a villa with a garden may need one size up.

  5. 5.If you work in the industrial belt, separate home and work boxes

İBB's plan note names the Hadımköy Industrial Zone and the Municipality names the Akpınar Industrial Zone in Yassıören. If you will store things from both your home and your workplace, label boxes 'home' and 'work' and keep paperwork and electronics boxes together. There is no time limit; you can keep the room as long as you need it.

Questions about storage in Arnavutköy

How long is the trip from Arnavutköy to the Sancaktepe depot?

A car-profile estimate gives about 62–75 km and 55–60 minutes without traffic, 65.5 km to the district centre. A loaded vehicle's route and time can differ. Source: OSRM / OpenStreetMap, September 2026.

I have a small business in Hadımköy and need to store filing cabinets and desks; how does pickup work?

İBB's plan note lists the Hadımköy Industrial Zone and an Industrial and Storage Reserve Area awaiting approval, and residents mention truck traffic there. We pick the loading point and entrance with you at the free survey. For office items such as filing cabinets and desks our rooms run from 8 m³ to 28 m³; we confirm which pieces will be stored and the volume needed at the survey.

Can you collect from northern villages like Karaburun or Durusu?

We collect door to door within İstanbul and discuss distance and road at the survey. Balaban shows on the map with only 7 buildings and 15.6 km of local streets across 45.898 km²; give the address with the neighbourhood and building name, if possible a location pin.

Does the Municipality take old furniture and rubble, and what should I store?

In the service guide, rubble collection goes through a paid e-municipality application, as does electronic waste; we found no pickup line for old furniture. Keep what you will store apart from what you will discard.

I work around Istanbul Airport and am moving to a smaller home in Arnavutköy; what do I do with the surplus?

The Municipality's Tayakadın page places the airport on Terminal Caddesi, and the District Governor's Office puts the airport project at roughly 12 percent of the district's area. We found no official data on which neighbourhoods airport staff live in, so we talk through your address at the survey. For a few surplus pieces when downsizing an 8 m³ (1+0) room usually does, and the contents of a whole 1+1 flat usually fit the 15 m³ (1+1) room; we confirm the exact size at the survey.

I have a small workshop in Hadımköy and need to store filing cabinets and desks; how does pickup work?

İBB's plan note lists the Hadımköy Industrial Zone and an Industrial and Storage Reserve Area awaiting approval, and residents mention truck traffic there. We pick the loading point and entrance with you at the free survey. Our rooms are usually 28 m³ at most; whether pallets or heavy machinery would fit is something we settle at the survey.
